Tekken 8 is coming to Steam on PC, as well as PlayStations and Xboxes at a future date of Bandai Namco’s choosing. Upon his Tekken 8 reveal, there was a buzz about Hwoarang as he’s historically been one of the better kick-orientated characters in the series. I do enjoy a decent fighting game though, so perhaps Taken 8 will be a good jumping on point. Maybe that’s why the series has passed me by. I’m from South Yorkshire originally, so anytime someone says the word Tekken it sounds like ‘taken’ to me. The quality of the video led people to believe that Baki would be part of. Beyond those details, we don’t know much about the Tekken 8 story mode as Bandai Namco is staying very quiet right now. The trailer was published by a channel called Hanmason. Tekken 8’s story mode will focus on Kazuya vs Jin and the father-and-son showdown between them. The trailer shows a rendered model of Baki that could perfectly fit on the new Tekken 8 game. Xbox might actually be the default console for Tekken 8 lmao. The speculation started after a Redditor shared a fan-made trailer on the Tekken subreddit. Considering playstation is Tekkens most popular console, thats going to be a huge problem. I genuinely know nothing about Tekken, but the UE5 trailer seems cool. The vast majority of players on PSN are on PS4. You can expect to see more of Tekken 8’s characters, story and new features soon though. For those who remember the old Tekken Zaibatsu days, if you scan the site, not everyone is there for strats, tech and tourneys. Decent stories do attract casual players who still follow the franchise simply for the characters they care about. What they do say is that these are linked to the new engine, which apparently pushes “the feeling of power in battles continuously further”. IMO, the Story Mode of Tekken 8 doesnt have to be grandiose or oh so epic, it just has to be decent. Bandai Namco say they’re working on “groundbreaking new features”, but aren’t giving those away. There aren’t too many more details about Tekken 8 to go on yet. Not sure that’s achievable just by punching things very hard, but okay. He’s angling after world domination, see.
